Louvers also would not open. Skies were okay around sunset, but began to cloud up around 21:30 becoming almost completely overcast. Scope was stopped, mirror covers closed, but shuttters left open so we could take advantage of a suckerhole if need be. Around 22:30 returns popped up on the radar and we closed completely. We were able to open again at 00:25. Skies were mostly clear, and seeing was good. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:09 tcamera 371( 1583) 3 63 18.5 22.6 21.8 22.5 20.5 - 1.15 00:27 tcamera 282( 1494) -135 62 17.8 18.0 18.3 18.0 17.5 - 0.84 03:43 ecamera 400( 46) -90 63 17.4 16.9 17.4 16.8 17.1 ND1 0.90 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 72 49 3 240 (WSW) 107 ptly cldy none 17:00 74 44 8 267 (W) 122 ptly cldy none 18:00 68 39 6 300 (WNW) 87 ptly cldy none 19:00 67 42 4 313 (NW) 2206 mstly clr none 20:00 66 38 2 302 (WNW) 852 mstly clr none 21:00 67 36 2 339 (NNW) 488 ptly cldy none 22:00 65 39 5 110 (ESE) 974 mstly cldy none 23:00 63 43 6 93 (E) 624 ptly cldy none 00:00 64 44 13 144 (SE) 741 mstly clr none 01:00 64 43 10 178 (S) 854 mstly clr none 02:00 63 43 12 180 (S) 909 mstly clr none 03:00 64 42 11 180 (S) 886 mstly clr none 04:00 60 42 8 216 (SW) 925 mstly clr none 05:00 63 41 7 180 (S) 820 mstly clr none 06:00 60 35 7 186 (S) 919 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
