It was fine by sunset. A-half observer used Echelle for most of the night, and TripleSpec for the last hour. It was quite hazy tonight due to wildfire smoke from Colorado. Some orographic clouds started forming over us around 2:15 AM and continued for the rest of the night. We closed up around 05:40. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:33 ecamera 354( 182) 9 47 18.8 20.6 20.9 20.3 19.3 Clear 0.98 00:12 tcamera 354( 1306) 103 73 17.7 17.2 17.6 17.1 17.6 Ks 0.70 01:26 arctic 466( 1224) 166 78 17.6 17.4 17.8 17.4 17.5 3500 1.23 Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 71 43 5 285 (WNW) 1182 mstly clr none 17:00 71 38 1 175 (S) 773 mstly clr none 18:00 71 38 12 81 (E) 829 clear none 19:00 69 37 12 81 (E) 879 clear none 20:00 67 36 13 68 (ENE) 940 clear none 21:00 65 37 14 73 (ENE) 931 clear none 22:00 63 38 11 86 (E) 881 clear none 23:00 63 39 11 88 (E) 871 clear none 00:00 64 39 16 63 (ENE) 900 clear none 01:00 64 37 21 76 (ENE) 885 clear none 02:00 65 35 3 106 (ESE) 984 ptly cldy none 03:00 63 37 6 88 (E) 1096 ptly cldy none 04:00 66 32 7 8 (N) 897 ptly cldy none 05:00 64 39 4 194 (SSW) 1136 ptly cldy none 06:00 60 43 6 183 (S) 1167 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
