Luckily our observer noticed and called Russet, who called me, and then Candace. Candace had just made it down the mountain to Alamogordo and turned around to cover for me until I arrived. Russet did instrument checks from home. It was cloudy so no onsky time was lost. Thank you Candace and Russet and Sarah for notifying us. The clouds parted around 01:15 and I felt it was safe enough to open around 01:45. We remained open for the remainder of the night with no problems. Wind was out of the East so seeing was poor. It improved a little after 3AM from around 2.4 to about 1.5 arc sec. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 01:52 dcamera 387( 910) 33 59 14.0 16.0 16.6 16.0 14.6 -- 2.40 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 68 37 7 177 (S) 207 mstly cldy none 17:00 72 36 9 226 (SW) 869 mstly cldy none 18:00 74 36 6 214 (SW) 613 cloudy none 19:00 71 38 5 187 (S) 754 cloudy none 20:00 68 36 9 39 (NE) 818 cloudy none 21:00 66 37 15 60 (ENE) 544 cloudy none 22:00 67 34 14 79 (E) 636 cloudy none 23:00 59 42 22 68 (ENE) 903 cloudy lt rain 00:00 58 42 22 69 (ENE) 657 cloudy none 01:00 60 39 11 112 (ESE) 720 ptly cldy none 02:00 57 42 15 81 (E) 862 mstly clr none 03:00 61 40 1 161 (SSE) 1024 mstly clr none 04:00 57 42 12 79 (E) 1435 clear none 05:00 59 40 2 125 (SE) 1461 mstly clr none 06:00 58 41 14 129 (SE) 1958 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
