NM10 was taking a long series of darks (2 hours) and I decided to mount the instrument half way through. When I moved and mounted the instrument, something happened with the read electronics and the CCD read out 38k across the chip for all future exposures. I warmed arctic and brought back the quad and everything is good now. We had rain and clouds all night. Though, we were about to open for about an hour around midnight before things got dicey. Seeing was excellent for that hour, though! Rain hit during twilight and we were not able to reopen. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 68 44 11 83 (E) 960 mstly cldy none 17:00 72 46 6 69 (ENE) 828 mstly cldy none 18:00 70 44 2 200 (SSW) 793 cloudy lt rain 19:00 67 43 15 65 (ENE) 694 cloudy lt rain 20:00 67 41 8 200 (SSW) 722 cloudy none 21:00 64 41 14 185 (S) 569 cloudy none 22:00 65 39 16 154 (SSE) 647 mstly cldy none 23:00 64 39 14 138 (SE) 541 mstly clr none 00:00 69 34 1 205 (SSW) 375 mstly clr none 01:00 68 35 3 296 (WNW) 475 ptly cldy none 02:00 68 36 1 268 (W) 652 mstly cldy none 03:00 67 35 1 3 (N) 451 mstly cldy none 04:00 66 36 11 181 (S) 463 mstly cldy none 05:00 66 36 5 187 (S) 758 mstly cldy lt rain Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
