The weather started out with some clouds that, while annoying, we were able to punch through. The laser had a little difficulty getting fired up but Tom and Russet were able to get it going! Clouds rolled in just as Venus was rising (of course), but seeing was good all night. CG01 donated 10 min to AP02 given the cloud situation and low altitude of Venus. Hope you all got to see some meteors as this week is the Perseid meteor shower! ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:26 ecamera 622( 549) -19 30 19.5 22.4 22.2 21.5 20.0 Clear 1.47 22:33 ecamera 363( 155) 152 47 19.3 19.8 20.4 19.5 19.3 ND3 1.04 03:49 ecamera 407( 88) 87 80 18.2 17.8 18.5 17.7 17.9 clear 0.93 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 77 35 10 236 (SW) 652 ptly cldy none 17:00 78 35 11 227 (SW) 538 ptly cldy none 18:00 80 36 8 272 (W) 476 ptly cldy none 19:00 74 33 8 260 (W) 447 mstly clr none 20:00 68 40 14 131 (SE) 826 mstly clr none 21:00 67 40 14 134 (SE) 769 ptly cldy none 22:00 68 38 14 162 (SSE) 728 mstly clr none 23:00 67 38 10 174 (S) 730 clear none 00:00 68 36 10 182 (S) 728 clear none 01:00 67 38 11 170 (S) 775 clear none 02:00 65 39 15 152 (SSE) 769 mstly clr none 03:00 64 40 13 165 (SSE) 1010 mstly clr none 04:00 63 39 14 180 (S) 863 mstly cldy none 05:00 66 40 11 183 (S) 933 mstly cldy none 06:00 64 40 11 178 (S) 858 mstly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
