Slowly the clouds diminished until there was just one directly over APO. When that thinned, I opened the dome and we were able to observe. Seeing was poor at first, and we had a little bit of windshake with gusts at only 20 mph, but it subsided just when I was about to move away. Aside from that everything worked quite well. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 23:24 dcamera 374( 1114) 338 23 18.3 20.0 20.2 19.8 18.8 - 1.80 00:56 ecamera 406( 165) 4 40 18.8 19.0 19.5 18.9 18.9 ND1 1.50 03:48 ecamera 470( 124) 153 60 17.6 17.1 17.7 17.0 17.4 ND2 1.05 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 77 37 5 254 (WSW) 428 ptly cldy none 17:00 76 34 11 265 (W) 333 ptly cldy none 18:00 74 31 11 265 (W) 274 ptly cldy none 19:00 72 33 9 268 (W) 406 ptly cldy none 20:00 69 33 4 263 (W) 418 mstly cldy none 21:00 68 35 4 333 (NNW) 477 cloudy none 22:00 69 34 5 293 (WNW) 452 cloudy none 23:00 69 36 1 190 (S) 574 mstly cldy none 00:00 66 40 2 140 (SE) 857 ptly cldy none 01:00 66 40 10 180 (S) 727 mstly clr none 02:00 63 42 9 195 (SSW) 853 mstly clr none 03:00 63 44 13 184 (S) 1975 mstly clr none 04:00 63 42 9 184 (S) 1791 ptly cldy none 05:00 61 41 5 207 (SSW) 1327 ptly cldy none 06:00 64 39 1 240 (WSW) 1110 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
