The night started out with thunderstorms which turned into crazy winds (50 mph) and then more rain and clouds and wind and then, finally, it seemed like it was clearing only to plague us with humidity. However, about two hours before dawn, the winds shifted, the temps rose, the humidity dropped and the wind died down to nothing. What I'm saying is, I didn't sabotage everyone else's science. The weather really did only clear for the Venus science! in fact, seeing was surprisingly good given the crazy atmospheric changes. No problems tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 04:12 ecamera 297( -206) 122 74 14.2 13.9 14.2 13.8 13.6 Clear 1.35 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 70 39 9 261 (W) 885 cloudy none 17:00 61 32 22 114 (ESE) 624 cloudy rain 18:00 61 30 12 67 (ENE) 491 cloudy rain 19:00 65 33 18 33 (NNE) 687 cloudy lt rain 20:00 61 29 23 68 (ENE) 441 cloudy lt rain 21:00 57 27 34 67 (ENE) 779 cloudy lt rain 22:00 63 30 11 263 (W) 238 cloudy lt rain 23:00 58 32 11 334 (NNW) 526 cloudy lt rain 00:00 62 32 22 71 (ENE) 341 cloudy none 01:00 62 31 12 39 (NE) 320 cloudy humid 02:00 57 31 20 72 (ENE) 434 cloudy humid 03:00 51 31 19 81 (E) 1282 mstly cldy humid 04:00 55 31 7 76 (ENE) 1159 mstly clr none 05:00 60 30 2 251 (WSW) 395 clear none 06:00 59 30 1 239 (WSW) 1059 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
