First was during checkout trying to go from NA1 to NA2. Moving to NA1 to BC1 to NA2 worked. It failed again going from NA2 to NA1 but, again, going to BC1 first soled the problem. however, in trying to move from NA1 to BC1, the tertiary failed and reported a ?. Moving between NA1 to NA2 and then to BC1 was fine. Another fun event was the weather page software replicating itself and massively over-pinging TUI, resulting in TUI slowing down. Tracey was able to log in and kill the duplicate shutter.py processes on the web-server computer. The weather was questionable but clearing when Tracey took a look at it. It may have delayed us by a few min but I was worried about a cloud the whole time so I marked it down as time lost to weather. Speaking of weather, we had some epic rain this afternoon. Clouds were thick most of the night with radar looming everywhere when things suddenly cleared a little before 4am. We even had some good seeing! But the UW class was not able to get on sky, sadly. Maybe tomorrow. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 04:03 ecamera 318( -56) 247 54 15.9 16.4 17.2 16.3 15.8 ND1 0.92 05:05 APOLLO 500( 1871) 96 22 14.8 15.5 16.3 15.3 14.9 530 1.80 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 74 42 16 251 (WSW) cloudy rain 17:00 63 57 5 262 (W) cloudy rain 18:00 58 46 17 83 (E) cloudy rain 19:00 58 31 23 113 (ESE) cloudy lt rain 20:00 61 31 9 179 (S) cloudy lt rain 21:00 62 31 19 181 (S) cloudy none 22:00 61 33 15 163 (SSE) cloudy none 23:00 60 30 9 89 (E) cloudy none 00:00 64 33 6 177 (S) mstly cldy none 01:00 64 34 12 167 (SSE) mstly cldy none 02:00 63 27 6 181 (S) mstly cldy none 03:00 61 35 9 182 (S) mstly clr none 04:00 60 29 3 98 (E) mstly clr none 05:00 59 32 17 73 (ENE) clear none 06:00 57 31 17 71 (ENE) clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
