Sky flats are definitely superior, which we already knew, but we will need some discussion to decide if dome flats are actually useful. Every time the clouds thinned, the radar looked more believable. And when the radar looked probably not real, the clouds were too thick to shoot through. So no rain, but also no photons for most of the night. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 82 36 14 202 (SSW) 963 mstly clr none 17:00 80 38 11 187 (S) 972 mstly clr none 18:00 81 38 15 266 (W) 1123 mstly clr none 19:00 80 37 12 244 (WSW) 909 mstly clr none 20:00 73 31 9 219 (SW) 886 ptly cldy none 21:00 72 30 11 195 (SSW) 835 ptly cldy none 22:00 71 29 8 238 (WSW) 940 ptly cldy none 23:00 71 30 6 207 (SSW) 883 ptly cldy none 00:00 71 33 5 351 (N) 3285 ptly cldy none 01:00 71 31 10 196 (SSW) 1364 ptly cldy none 02:00 71 30 9 190 (S) 871 ptly cldy none 03:00 68 29 20 214 (SW) 746 ptly cldy none 04:00 68 29 8 199 (SSW) 755 mstly cldy none 05:00 68 28 12 213 (SSW) 903 mstly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
