Seeing was poor to moderate. I did some peripheral tasks while the telescope cooled and then worked on collimation for several hours. After that we got some pickup science. Everything seems to be in good shape. Coming up: more collimation experiments, pointing, and throughput! ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 23:19 arctic 655( 1602) -17 61 20.7 21.2 22.3 20.9 20.8 sdss_r 1.19 00:22 shack 550( 2002) -20 60 20.1 20.2 21.4 20.0 19.9 - 1.50 03:03 ecamera 547( 281) 42 31 18.0 18.3 19.4 18.2 18.0 ND3 2.02 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 74 34 15 81 (E) 941 mstly cldy none 17:00 74 35 8 182 (S) 1019 mstly cldy none 18:00 76 37 8 184 (S) 1496 ptly cldy none 19:00 76 37 2 205 (SSW) 1442 ptly cldy none 20:00 74 35 9 147 (SSE) 1474 mstly clr none 21:00 72 35 12 169 (S) 1472 clear none 22:00 73 32 14 170 (S) 1283 mstly clr none 23:00 69 33 24 128 (SE) 1617 mstly clr none 00:00 68 36 23 142 (SE) 2190 mstly clr none 01:00 67 35 22 131 (SE) 2245 mstly clr none 02:00 66 34 19 134 (SE) 2243 mstly clr none 03:00 65 37 20 130 (SE) 2506 mstly clr none 04:00 66 35 16 151 (SSE) 2137 mstly clr none 05:00 65 35 11 168 (SSE) 2295 mstly clr none 06:00 66 33 12 182 (S) 1795 ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
