Since there was time, performed a zeroing of the rotator. We were off at 3.521 degrees. Also during checkout, the mirror tert status sppeared to freeze (it was at -36 seconds till collimation and counting down when I noticed). I issued a fake slew and that seems to clear it up, thank goodness. Evening was clear and calm with great seeing. No problems. We were open all night. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:40 ecamera 477( -49) 58 46 12.4 13.1 12.9 12.7 12.5 ND3 1.40 21:12 ecamera 461( -82) 229 43 12.7 12.7 12.8 12.4 12.5 ND2 0.83 22:53 ecamera 412( -163) 264 46 12.3 12.0 12.6 11.8 12.0 ND1 0.85 01:17 ecamera 390( -242) 133 72 11.8 11.1 11.8 10.9 11.5 ND2 0.79 03:47 ecamera 414( -221) 214 59 11.5 11.0 11.6 11.1 11.3 clear 0.85 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 56 9 6 346 (NNW) 441 clear none 17:00 59 12 2 111 (ESE) 452 clear none 18:00 56 10 17 351 (N) 368 clear none 19:00 57 10 10 8 (N) 333 clear none 20:00 55 10 1 31 (NNE) 347 clear none 21:00 55 10 3 8 (N) 373 clear none 22:00 55 10 11 353 (N) 333 clear none 23:00 53 8 9 350 (N) 315 clear none 00:00 53 7 11 359 (N) 354 clear none 01:00 53 8 6 340 (NNW) 361 clear none 02:00 53 7 9 307 (NW) 425 clear none 03:00 53 8 7 317 (NW) 1200 clear none 04:00 53 8 4 345 (NNW) 1523 clear none 05:00 52 8 8 307 (NW) 572 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
