Seeing was a bit wiggly, bouncing between good and fair. While switching to Apollo from the Echelle, the tertiary would not lock into BC1 position or TR2. Russet able to correct it and no time was lost, she also sent a PR. At closing, the mirror covers would did not close on the first attempt (and read "closed" in the enclosure window) but closed on the second attempt. The telescope was parked at an alt of 80 so as to address the issue with the tertiary. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:33 ecamera 497( 207) -32 52 17.3 18.1 18.8 17.7 17.4 ND1 0.96 22:41 ecamera 579( 190) -68 39 15.7 15.8 16.5 15.9 15.8 ND1 1.49 01:16 ecamera 555( 47) 138 69 13.2 13.8 14.4 13.6 13.2 Clear 1.05 04:03 ecamera 407( -200) 192 74 11.5 11.7 12.3 11.5 11.5 Clear 0.91 04:54 APOLLO 425( 1563) -12 42 10.9 11.2 11.8 11.0 10.9 530 1.90 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 70 24 18 257 (WSW) 843 clear none 17:00 69 26 13 261 (W) 711 clear none 18:00 72 27 21 203 (SSW) 748 clear none 19:00 67 24 18 243 (WSW) 723 clear none 20:00 64 21 20 244 (WSW) 724 clear none 21:00 63 20 18 261 (W) 699 clear none 22:00 61 21 23 239 (WSW) 699 clear none 23:00 59 22 15 253 (WSW) 802 clear none 00:00 59 23 19 265 (W) 809 clear none 01:00 57 28 13 292 (WNW) 1180 clear none 02:00 55 29 16 298 (WNW) 1025 clear none 03:00 54 30 12 285 (WNW) 1030 clear none 04:00 53 30 16 296 (WNW) 902 clear none 05:00 52 31 12 298 (WNW) 1032 clear none 06:00 51 33 13 282 (WNW) 1018 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
