Due to the warm dome this afternoon, DIS started heating up and Bill had to raise the warning temperature. The red side wasn't reading out correctly and the power supply needed to be restarted. After that, no more problems. It was taking me awhile to get the DIS wavelengths properly centered. Finally realized I needed the Argon lamp! I noticed the counter weight was off by 20000 when I went to adjust the weight from ARCTIC to DIS. However, the range between upper and lower (~2000) remained the same, it seems like the displayed values were just off by 20000. I sent a PR. We had clouds with virga and rain nearby but it never reached us. The seeing was great all night! ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:44 ecamera 373( 242) -64 56 21.5 21.6 22.1 21.3 21.3 Clear 0.66 22:07 dcamera 430( 1213) -38 49 21.1 21.4 21.9 21.2 21.2 -- 1.13 01:21 dcamera 492( 1208) -55 43 20.0 19.9 20.4 19.8 20.0 -- 1.03 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 73 29 24 290 (WNW) 577 mstly clr none 17:00 78 33 14 260 (W) 571 mstly clr none 18:00 78 32 13 256 (WSW) 647 mstly clr none 19:00 75 30 12 266 (W) 566 mstly clr none 20:00 71 28 7 268 (W) 708 ptly cldy none 21:00 70 28 5 256 (WSW) 667 ptly cldy none 22:00 70 28 7 260 (W) 643 ptly cldy none 23:00 69 29 9 195 (SSW) 811 clear none 00:00 68 29 8 215 (SW) 732 clear none 01:00 68 30 6 243 (WSW) 822 mstly clr none 02:00 68 29 5 252 (WSW) 975 mstly clr none 03:00 68 30 6 250 (WSW) 826 clear none 04:00 68 30 6 190 (S) 843 clear none 05:00 67 29 5 185 (S) 817 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
