I rotated it to 0 but found it was still off, so I zeroed the rotator. It needed a correction of 1.28 degrees. I checked it again at the end of the night and there was no issue. I added to PR 1946. NICFPS is back! I filled it at midnight and dawn. What a great night of science! We had good seeing (it was 1.14" at the beginning of the night but I forgot to hit the start button to record the seeing...again), no clouds, no moon, and no wind! The NA02 class completed their final night of observing and, through all the yawns, I could tell they had a great time! ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 22:37 dcamera 636( 1216) -167 33 16.9 16.8 17.4 16.7 16.7 -- 1.42 00:55 dcamera 538( 1064) 1 67 16.4 16.1 16.8 16.2 16.3 -- 1.09 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 71 27 29 245 (WSW) 617 clear none 17:00 70 27 15 270 (W) 686 clear none 18:00 70 26 13 252 (WSW) 391 clear none 19:00 68 24 14 277 (W) 334 clear none 20:00 65 21 16 264 (W) 414 clear none 21:00 62 19 15 267 (W) 504 clear none 22:00 63 21 15 266 (W) 428 clear none 23:00 63 19 12 276 (W) 464 clear none 00:00 61 18 6 209 (SSW) 522 clear none 01:00 62 20 8 253 (WSW) 604 clear none 02:00 57 17 11 258 (WSW) 653 clear none 03:00 59 18 10 267 (W) 685 clear none 04:00 60 16 9 270 (W) 740 clear none 05:00 59 16 9 282 (WNW) 908 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
