We had a little bit of high clouds during A half but they weren't any real bother and we were able to punch through them no problem. We had great seeing and I never smelled the smoke that was supposed to waft our way. The NA02 class is doing great surviving of Dunkin' Donuts and excitement. They finished on their field a little before 5 and, given the excellent sky conditions, we did a quick tour of the planets with ecam! IT WAS AMAZING!! So, even though they were't here to look through the eyepiece, they still got to see some fun objects. No problems tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 23:01 dcamera 589( 1147) -94 57 16.6 16.7 17.3 16.6 16.9 -- 1.23 01:19 dcamera 516( 1037) -99 62 16.4 16.0 16.6 15.8 16.3 -- 0.98 04:57 ecamera 417( -68) -3 78 14.8 14.3 14.9 14.2 14.5 Clear 0.74 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 67 27 12 265 (W) 729 mstly clr none 17:00 71 25 18 248 (WSW) 631 mstly clr none 18:00 70 26 10 248 (WSW) 523 mstly clr none 19:00 69 24 14 256 (WSW) 523 ptly cldy none 20:00 64 21 9 254 (WSW) 429 ptly cldy none 21:00 61 18 9 261 (W) 454 mstly clr none 22:00 62 20 6 263 (W) 372 clear none 23:00 62 19 10 264 (W) 374 clear none 00:00 62 19 6 263 (W) 447 clear none 01:00 62 18 8 263 (W) 511 clear none 02:00 59 16 10 256 (WSW) 476 clear none 03:00 58 15 13 255 (WSW) 504 clear none 04:00 58 15 11 288 (WNW) 594 clear none 05:00 59 17 14 277 (W) 588 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
