I did not test the az axis on account of the wind. Around sunset the winds died down somewhat, but thunderstoms remained on our doorstep. We did not open at sunset, there being rain. Rain persisted for several hours. Rain stopped around 12:30, but the winds increased above safe levels. Winds died down around 01:30, but another system was passing to the south of us, too close for comfort. By 3:10 it was safe to open, so we did. We stayed open until dawn. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 03:24 arctic 675( 1148) 211 53 11.1 11.0 11.4 11.1 11.2 J-C_V 1.57 03:30 arctic 633( 1090) 190 73 10.7 10.9 11.4 11.0 10.9 4170 2.01 04:53 APOLLO 450( 1569) 78 46 10.8 10.8 11.3 10.9 11.2 530 2.00 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 50 24 15 100 (E) cloudy rain 17:00 51 21 27 76 (ENE) 1233 mstly cldy none 18:00 50 32 20 81 (E) 656 mstly cldy none 19:00 52 32 20 74 (ENE) 463 mstly cldy none 20:00 54 32 24 78 (ENE) 444 cloudy rain 21:00 50 31 10 9 (N) 1316 cloudy lt rain 22:00 48 31 22 15 (NNE) cloudy lt rain 23:00 48 31 22 44 (NE) cloudy rain 00:00 49 31 32 73 (ENE) cloudy lt rain 01:00 50 30 30 73 (ENE) 840 ptly cldy none 02:00 54 30 1 219 (SW) 564 ptly cldy none 03:00 55 30 15 178 (S) 1213 ptly cldy none 04:00 51 30 24 137 (SE) 1063 clear none 05:00 51 30 1 122 (ESE) 1122 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
