No one was hurt, lost, or maimed. We had a huge turn out and filled all the eyepiece time. Unfortunately, rain popped up sooner than expected and we had to close at 20:00. That meant that while the first two tour groups got some amazing views, they were the only ones to look through the eyepiece. But we gave some great closed dome tours for all the other groups. Needless to say, the army of volunteers to turn out and make this such a great event are wiped. Engineering was scheduled for B half but, due to the rain and exhaustion, we closed up early. NICFPS fills occurred at midnight. Sorry all, I just couldn't make it all the way to 3am. Let me just say this loud and clear: NO PROBLEMS TONIGHT! :D ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 49 33 21 218 (SW) 461 mstly clr none 17:00 45 32 17 207 (SSW) 505 mstly clr none 18:00 43 32 18 210 (SSW) 489 mstly clr none 19:00 44 31 11 201 (SSW) 424 ptly cldy none 20:00 43 32 14 186 (S) 531 mstly cldy lt rain 21:00 44 33 18 183 (S) 475 cloudy none 22:00 44 34 21 197 (SSW) 567 cloudy lt rain 23:00 42 34 17 159 (SSE) 515 cloudy lt rain 00:00 41 21 25 192 (SSW) 465 cloudy lt rain Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
