The night started out mostly clear but then clouds started rolling in around 8pm and wouldn't go away. We had high, thin clouds for the rest of the night and poor seeing. At the end of the night I thought I would go out and see the conjunction (or what was left of it). Well, I ended up seeing Starlink for the first time. OMG. IT'S THE ABSOLUTE WORST!! It just doesn't end! And it's so bright! But I can't technically list it as a problem so I'm just going to grumble about it. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:55 arctic 809( 1058) 153 28 4.5 5.8 6.7 4.9 4.5 sdss-i 1.77 01:48 ecamera 686( -317) 135 71 3.7 3.2 4.8 3.1 3.1 -- 2.05 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 46 27 21 229 (SW) 443 mstly clr none 17:00 46 28 26 240 (WSW) 558 mstly clr none 18:00 45 24 25 214 (SW) 624 mstly clr none 19:00 42 25 23 225 (SW) 692 mstly clr none 20:00 40 23 17 236 (SW) 679 ptly cldy none 21:00 41 20 16 248 (WSW) 480 ptly cldy none 22:00 40 20 17 242 (WSW) 506 mstly clr none 23:00 40 21 16 254 (WSW) 504 mstly cldy none 00:00 41 17 11 262 (W) 404 mstly cldy none 01:00 40 15 10 267 (W) 426 mstly cldy none 02:00 39 16 7 270 (W) 400 ptly cldy none 03:00 39 17 8 265 (W) 404 ptly cldy none 04:00 38 12 16 268 (W) 374 ptly cldy none 05:00 37 9 17 269 (W) 342 ptly cldy none 06:00 36 11 13 257 (WSW) 372 ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
