Also due to power outages, az power box lever was thrown to 'reset' and the mirror covers needed a reset. Evening started cloudy, rainy and foggy. Fog and high humidty perisisted until 02:00. We finaly opened at 02:00. Seeing was bad, but it stayed mostly clear, so we soldiered on. The TR2 rotator suffered a larger than normal number of failures (though we did spend a lot of time near the meridian, where the field rotation's rate is highest. Failures were all quickly handled with a rotator reset and reslew, never more than 30 seconds downtime. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 02:24 AGILE 950(-1235) 27 68 -0.7 1.5 5.0 1.0 -0.1 BG40 2.10 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 39 31 24 213 (SSW) cloudy rain 17:00 41 31 26 208 (SSW) cloudy lt rain 18:00 41 30 22 244 (WSW) cloudy fog 19:00 39 31 20 258 (WSW) cloudy fog 20:00 37 31 20 270 (W) cloudy fog 21:00 34 32 13 270 (W) cloudy fog 22:00 34 30 18 282 (WNW) cloudy humid 23:00 33 29 17 271 (W) cloudy humid 00:00 33 27 21 258 (WSW) cloudy humid 01:00 32 26 22 263 (W) ptly cldy humid 02:00 32 24 24 266 (W) mstly clr none 03:00 30 26 15 303 (WNW) mstly clr none 04:00 30 24 19 293 (WNW) 159 mstly clr none 05:00 30 22 15 301 (WNW) 153 mstly clr none 06:00 32 14 14 288 (WNW) 157 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
