I started the process at 02:35 am and at 02:52 am the ccd temp reached 192k while the cold head temp was at 232K. I restarted the leach controller and the quad came back. I started cooling things back down at 02:53 am, at which point the ccd_temp was at 197K (and it peaked to 205K while things continued to cool). It took until 04:40 for the ccd temp to reach the set point of 175K and the cold head temp to level off. I took biases the whole time and lowered the ramp rate back to 0.1K/min. We had fog and rain the whole night and were never able to open. However, we still trained the CU students on their instruments! Well..as best we could at this point. I called it a night once ARCTIC was good. Happy Friday the 13th! }:D ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 40 32 7 241 (WSW) cloudy fog 17:00 41 32 4 222 (SW) cloudy fog 18:00 40 32 3 186 (S) cloudy fog 19:00 39 32 12 192 (SSW) cloudy rain 20:00 39 31 12 186 (S) cloudy rain 21:00 39 31 17 223 (SW) cloudy rain 22:00 39 31 18 236 (SW) cloudy rain 23:00 39 31 10 205 (SSW) cloudy rain 00:00 38 30 17 216 (SW) cloudy rain 01:00 38 31 18 225 (SW) cloudy fog 02:00 38 31 17 222 (SW) cloudy fog 03:00 38 31 26 220 (SW) cloudy rain 04:00 38 31 19 216 (SW) cloudy rain Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
