Additionally, there were high winds which was blowing snow everywhere. In dome tasks consisted of: - reset hub, tcc, axes - tested agile rotator and it failed at -177 while moving to 0. An init solved the problem - Zeroed NA2 rotator with change of 0.025 - Taking flats with arctic at multiple rotations (but the r images were not good and then the shutter became stuck) - Testing Nicfps. I was not able to get it to fail even while rotating and taking over an hour of exposures, including exposures while I dismounted the instrument. I think Bill fixed it! - Russet took DIS pinhole data - I wrote several script for taking images with gcam, nicfps, and arctic using the two tertiaries. The dome was parked south in hopes that the clear skies tomorrow will melt some of the snow and ice. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 14 11 14 291 (WNW) cloudy lt snow 17:00 11 10 11 311 (NW) cloudy lt snow 18:00 11 10 7 279 (W) cloudy lt snow 19:00 11 10 6 338 (NNW) cloudy lt snow 20:00 12 9 1 257 (WSW) cloudy humid 21:00 11 8 5 36 (NE) ptly cldy humid 22:00 9 6 16 354 (N) clear humid 23:00 9 5 11 342 (NNW) clear humid 00:00 9 3 14 4 (N) clear humid 01:00 8 1 22 9 (N) clear humid 02:00 8 -1 24 348 (NNW) clear humid 03:00 7 1 24 19 (NNE) clear humid 04:00 7 -1 29 17 (NNE) clear humid 05:00 7 -1 12 347 (NNW) clear humid Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
