Got very cold as well. Snow and clouds blew out before sunset leaving clear cold skies...and then came back. The condtions were changing from minute to minute. We stayed closed as a precaution, and when the snow started onsite again, was proven correct in our caution. We opened at 20:28. We were suprised by snow (which was not on radar) at 20:45. We immediately closed. Humidity then spiked as well. Then winds also went above safe levels. More snow after 23:00-00:00. We were finally able to open at 02:20 and stayed open thereafter. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:32 dcamera 272( -351) 15 54 -10.7 -8.4 -8.0 -8.2 -10.1 - 2.19 02:24 ecamera 535(-1144) -9 82 -12.5 -11.1 -9.1 -11.4 -11.8 clear 1.12 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 18 -2 13 31 (NNE) 259 ptly cldy lt snow 17:00 18 0 13 12 (NNE) 222 clear none 18:00 17 2 17 57 (ENE) 272 ptly cldy lt snow 19:00 16 -1 15 32 (NNE) 212 mstly clr none 20:00 15 -5 17 66 (ENE) 168 mstly clr none 21:00 12 8 21 70 (ENE) mstly clr humid 22:00 11 6 31 73 (ENE) mstly clr humid 23:00 10 6 21 47 (NE) mstly clr humid 00:00 9 6 16 66 (ENE) mstly clr lt snow 01:00 9 4 16 71 (ENE) mstly clr lt snow 02:00 9 3 12 48 (NE) mstly clr none 03:00 13 -1 8 357 (N) 266 mstly clr none 04:00 14 -2 2 306 (NW) 220 mstly clr none 05:00 12 -2 6 346 (NNW) 252 mstly clr none 06:00 12 -1 7 336 (NNW) 262 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
