Although the dome remained open the whole time, there were some periods when the observer gave up trying to get data, so I tried to estimate that as WEATH. During second half the clouds were gone and the seeing was good, although one of the observers mistook the date and was a little late getting started. The 3.5m and instruments behaved well. This ended up being an engineering night for ARCSAT. I struggled a lot with the pointing (the clouds didn't help) and eventually ended up removing 10 points from the pointing model, after which it seemed to settle down. I also measured a focus offset from the SDSS g filter to the BG40 filter and recorded that in the appropriate file. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:26 arctic 465( 731) 29 54 4.5 6.6 6.7 6.4 5.1 J-C_B 1.48 04:45 ecamera 435( -636) 125 38 2.4 1.3 2.2 1.6 2.1 MD1 0.98 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 46 20 12 233 (SW) 122 ptly cldy none 17:00 42 20 10 228 (SW) 190 ptly cldy none 18:00 40 20 15 205 (SSW) 181 ptly cldy none 19:00 40 19 15 224 (SW) 207 ptly cldy none 20:00 38 20 9 254 (WSW) 246 mstly cldy none 21:00 37 20 7 259 (W) 288 mstly cldy none 22:00 37 22 13 306 (NW) 365 mstly cldy none 23:00 37 21 11 278 (W) 402 mstly clr none 00:00 36 21 15 293 (WNW) 446 clear none 01:00 36 22 16 292 (WNW) 406 clear none 02:00 35 22 13 315 (NW) 346 clear none 03:00 36 23 16 305 (NW) 277 clear none 04:00 36 22 13 307 (NW) 348 clear none 05:00 36 21 11 297 (WNW) 243 clear none 06:00 36 21 7 339 (NNW) 235 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
