The next two bias images were bad. Observer notified me at 19:55 of the problem. I restared the echelle icc. Bias looked good afterwards (non-zero). We got back on the sky for about 1 exposure and then had to close due to a precipitation threat. Clouds rolled in very shortly afterwards. Rain started around 23:15. We gave up at 03:00 with no snow (just Lt. rain and humidity) but a big mass is now moving over us, coming in frmo the SE. The air temps are hovering around 1C and possibly dropping soon, with colder air from the N. As of 03:00 no snow has fallen. E-stops set in control room and hallway but disengaged elsewhere in case somebody is around during the daytime and needs to run the snow program on the 3.5m. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- NM07 Echelle I/H 19:46 20:03 Echelle started reading all zero's, restart ICC ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:41 ecamera 573( -458) 53 42 2.0 2.2 2.9 2.6 2.1 clear 1.46 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 35 27 6 271 (W) 88 mstly cldy none 17:00 34 27 4 270 (W) cloudy none 18:00 34 29 7 185 (S) 171 cloudy none 19:00 34 30 10 188 (S) ptly cldy none 20:00 36 28 13 196 (SSW) 162 mstly cldy none 21:00 35 30 17 183 (S) cloudy none 22:00 36 32 28 191 (S) cloudy none 23:00 36 32 24 192 (SSW) cloudy lt rain 00:00 35 32 21 192 (SSW) cloudy lt rain 01:00 35 32 30 199 (SSW) cloudy humid 02:00 35 32 25 216 (SW) 155496 cloudy humid 03:00 34 32 21 196 (SSW) cloudy humid Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
