So much so that we had to close for awhile. Once it got a little better, we tried reopening but the clouds, while not dangerous, made science for NM01 impossible and we close again. Humidity really dropped and the clouds improved and we tried to open again. However, Tspec was throwing an exposer error that, unfortunately, took me too long to solve and there wasn't enough time for NM01 to take their science. The problem was that the user aborted a sequence of Tspec exposures which cause the exposures to hang. I was missing a command and thought there was an issue with the instrument (there wasn't). The remainder of their time was donated to NM03. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- NM01 Tspec I/S 23:29 23:59 Tspec hanging on aborted exposure ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:29 tcamera 280( 462) 83 42 -1.6 0.4 0.9 0.5 -1.2 Ks 1.60 19:39 tcamera 377( 463) 50 67 -1.9 -1.3 -1.1 -1.8 -1.8 Ks 1.06 23:28 tcamera 459( 545) -75 51 -0.3 -1.5 -1.5 -1.8 -0.9 Ks 1.14 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 32 22 13 262 (W) 303 mstly cldy none 17:00 30 22 13 272 (W) 311 ptly cldy humid 18:00 29 22 10 278 (W) 379 mstly cldy humid 19:00 29 21 14 308 (NW) mstly cldy humid 20:00 29 22 14 283 (WNW) 449 mstly cldy humid 21:00 29 22 15 290 (WNW) mstly cldy humid 22:00 29 22 15 315 (NW) 424 mstly cldy humid 23:00 31 16 17 312 (NW) 269 mstly cldy none 00:00 31 14 16 306 (NW) 212 ptly cldy none 01:00 30 15 8 330 (NNW) 283 ptly cldy none 02:00 31 8 16 305 (NW) 208 mstly clr none 03:00 33 -4 12 272 (W) 139 mstly clr none 04:00 32 8 14 257 (WSW) 214 mstly clr none 05:00 31 8 13 256 (WSW) 217 mstly cldy none 06:00 31 -2 14 266 (W) 167 mstly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
