Winds kept getting stronger. By 19:40 pointing limits were needed. Around 23:00 winds were gusting over what we could take even pointing away from the wind, so we had to close. We were able to open again for DD02 program at midnight. Gcam needed a hub startNubs at this time. Winds completely died down, seeing was fair and we stayed open the rest of the night. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:32 dcamera 556( 670) 71 80 5.9 7.4 7.5 7.1 6.2 - 2.00 19:52 dcamera 500( 484) -80 65 3.9 4.6 5.2 4.4 4.2 - 1.30 21:48 dcamera 561( 447) -22 57 2.7 2.4 3.7 2.7 2.6 - 1.68 00:15 arctic 611( 702) -29 65 5.4 3.0 3.6 3.2 4.9 SDSS_r 1.97 02:28 arctic 564( 720) 138 31 4.7 3.9 4.6 3.8 4.4 SDSS_g 1.49 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 45 18 9 295 (WNW) 879 clear none 17:00 43 17 10 359 (N) 705 clear none 18:00 42 17 21 5 (N) 1240 clear none 19:00 41 12 24 16 (NNE) 836 clear none 20:00 39 5 20 6 (N) 554 clear none 21:00 39 0 20 20 (NNE) 358 clear none 22:00 37 3 25 26 (NNE) 329 clear none 23:00 37 -2 32 37 (NE) 203 clear none 00:00 41 -4 5 15 (NNE) 76 clear none 01:00 43 -2 9 185 (S) 168 clear none 02:00 42 -3 6 201 (SSW) 168 clear none 03:00 43 -4 6 187 (S) 177 clear none 04:00 44 -2 6 183 (S) 65 clear none 05:00 41 -4 12 181 (S) 115 clear none 06:00 43 -2 19 173 (S) 344 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
