Lost heartbeat, restarted, fixed I did a couple pointing checks, looked OK, not perfectly centered (more in the Top Right section) but OK. ARCTIC focus widget fails when I do a sweep. It finds the star fine, just won't sweep or measure. 2020-10-09 01:49:30 APO.APO-Jack.arcticExpose 1346 arctic f text="Failed setting camera config before exposure." 2020-10-09 01:49:30 APO.APO-Jack 170 arcticExpose f exposeTxt="object failed" I manually focused ARCTIC. Later I reloaded the script and it worked fine. Then the filters were missing in NA2guider, I fixed that problem. The observer said pointing looked good, well centered target. The internet went down at 01:30 We were still exposing on the 1st programs target (2nd program let him has a few extra minutes, luckily, and were going to watch him use ARCTIC as part of the training). I just left his exposure run (he had 1000 of them set up), so at least we were getting some science during all of this. Tracey came over aroun 02:10 to work on the problem. Tracey got us back up at 02:30. Apparently the link didn't roll over to the T1 like it was supposed to when the connection went down. I had the problem at the end of the night again with ARCTIC focus widget, this time it would not find a star (just hung). I focused manually. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:59 arctic 375( 1101) 87 67 15.0 16.6 16.4 16.0 14.6 SDSS_r 1.00 20:03 NA2gdr 4144(38144) 87 68 14.7 16.4 16.2 15.8 14.7 R 1.05 02:44 arctic 521( 1103) 343 60 14.3 13.4 14.3 13.4 13.9 sdss_r 0.70 02:46 NA2gdr 3953(37953) 342 60 14.2 13.4 14.2 13.4 13.8 clear 1.11 03:49 NICFPS 311( 1432) 244 37 14.3 13.9 14.5 14.1 14.4 Ks 0.74 05:33 arctic 521( 1120) 106 31 13.4 13.3 13.9 13.3 13.2 sdss_i 0.61 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 66 21 5 258 (WSW) 1397 clear none 17:00 63 20 7 286 (WNW) 1220 clear none 18:00 61 17 2 292 (WNW) 1136 clear none 19:00 59 14 5 345 (NNW) 1185 clear none 20:00 59 15 6 271 (W) 1271 clear none 21:00 59 16 8 237 (WSW) 1419 clear none 22:00 59 16 7 192 (SSW) 1452 clear none 23:00 59 16 8 224 (SW) 1615 clear none 00:00 58 14 12 236 (SW) 1623 clear none 01:00 57 14 9 232 (SW) 1467 clear none 02:00 58 16 5 236 (SW) 1342 clear none 03:00 58 16 6 266 (W) 1277 clear none 04:00 58 15 10 279 (W) 1202 clear none 05:00 57 15 9 279 (W) 1227 clear none 06:00 57 15 7 262 (W) 1185 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
