The first half observers got some excellent data despite several altitude tracking errors which occured both before and after - but not during - the event they wanted to catch. During second half I did a more sophisticated correction of the pointing problem that cropped up last month after the tertiary mirror got stuck, and I also checked out DIS. The blue side is currently looking quite nice, so here's hoping it remains that way! ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:25 arctic 538( 1193) 239 82 12.6 15.2 14.8 14.3 13.2 SDSS_i 0.96 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 63 25 10 248 (WSW) 2100 clear none 17:00 61 25 8 226 (SW) 1991 clear none 18:00 59 23 6 210 (SSW) 1976 clear none 19:00 55 26 7 184 (S) 2183 clear none 20:00 54 28 7 161 (SSE) 2194 clear none 21:00 55 21 7 180 (S) 1719 clear none 22:00 53 31 9 184 (S) 1899 clear none 23:00 52 31 10 180 (S) 2050 clear none 00:00 52 27 5 188 (S) 1514 clear none 01:00 54 28 8 191 (S) 1499 clear none 02:00 53 27 7 191 (S) 1558 clear none 03:00 54 26 7 186 (S) 1668 clear none 04:00 53 24 8 245 (WSW) 1778 clear none 05:00 51 27 5 237 (WSW) 1807 clear none 06:00 53 27 6 227 (SW) 1763 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
