Russet walked me through correcting the tertiary tilts. NM02 got started at 19:02, and we found that we had excellent seeing (0.68"), which persisted much of the night with occasionally worse spots down to 1.5". B-half was uneventful with similarly good seeing, and we closed up around 06:30. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- NM02 E T/H 18:30 19:02 Echelle pointing correction with tertiary tilts ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:07 ecamera 484( -45) 206 73 11.9 13.3 13.6 12.6 11.9 ND3 0.68 01:21 tcamera 434( 1075) 230 79 11.4 10.6 11.2 10.6 11.0 Ks 0.66 Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 62 22 20 271 (W) 917 clear none 17:00 58 22 16 268 (W) 1258 clear none 18:00 57 21 13 254 (WSW) 995 clear none 19:00 53 21 15 249 (WSW) 861 clear none 20:00 53 22 17 266 (W) 828 clear none 21:00 53 24 16 252 (WSW) 828 clear none 22:00 52 24 10 262 (W) 822 clear none 23:00 53 22 8 258 (WSW) 865 clear none 00:00 52 24 12 267 (W) 907 clear none 01:00 52 22 13 266 (W) 918 clear none 02:00 52 22 9 264 (W) 954 clear none 03:00 51 22 5 263 (W) 1043 clear none 04:00 52 22 11 327 (NNW) 1239 clear none 05:00 51 22 9 273 (W) 1280 clear none 06:00 52 22 2 209 (SSW) 1213 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
