The ARCTIC filterWheel controller needed to be restarted tonight. It would not home the wheel. Same thing happened a couple of weeks ago for me, when Russet restarted it. 21:06 I got a call from emergency services about a fire alarm going off in the 3.5m enclosure. I did a walk through check and did not smell smoke or see flame. I disabled and then reset the alarm. It reset fine. There was NO audible alert in the main ops building to alert us to any problem, just the phone call from the emergency services company. You could not hear the audio alarm going off in the 3.5m control room or ops building unless you just happened to be standing by the arcade door. Ben looked at it this morning and said all looked fine. The trunk on ARCTIC came off again. No other issues tonight and nice and clear. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:49 tcamera 379( 1315) 38 59 13.1 16.7 16.4 16.1 14.2 Ks 1.25 20:21 tcamera 343( 1173) 222 37 13.6 14.1 14.5 13.6 13.2 Ks 1.22 01:21 arctic 458( 1011) 5 61 13.8 12.8 13.5 12.6 13.3 Wash_C 1.08 01:23 NA2gdr 1325(35325) 4 61 13.7 12.8 13.5 12.6 13.2 clear 1.15 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 64 20 10 263 (W) 453 clear none 17:00 61 18 10 259 (W) 648 clear none 18:00 59 16 11 260 (W) 507 clear none 19:00 57 13 8 252 (WSW) 751 clear none 20:00 57 13 12 235 (SW) 938 clear none 21:00 57 13 10 208 (SSW) 973 clear none 22:00 55 12 9 192 (SSW) 1039 clear none 23:00 56 13 10 207 (SSW) 945 clear none 00:00 56 14 10 236 (SW) 1064 clear none 01:00 57 14 7 264 (W) 919 clear none 02:00 56 14 7 255 (WSW) 1018 clear none 03:00 57 14 12 301 (WNW) 1126 clear none 04:00 56 14 10 355 (N) 1322 clear none 05:00 55 13 7 35 (NE) 1514 clear none 06:00 56 13 14 10 (N) 1650 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
