It was clear with fair seeing. Seeing got significantly worse after midnight as winds got strong. Around 01:00 gcam failed in such a manner that a manual power cycle was needed. It functioned after that. At 05:50 the rotator failed. Fortunately, the observer only had one more image to take. We worked on it until 07:00. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- CU03 arctic T/H 05:50 06:18 NA2 rotator froze/could be other issues ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:33 tcamera 499( 452) 111 51 -4.3 -1.1 -1.3 -1.3 -3.3 - 1.38 18:17 tcamera 478( 401) 72 35 -2.8 -2.1 -2.2 -2.7 -3.0 - 1.66 21:28 tcamera 538( 356) 22 81 -2.9 -3.7 -3.2 -3.6 -3.2 - 1.66 22:23 ecamera 405( -925) 21 56 -3.7 -3.9 -3.4 -3.9 -3.7 ND1 0.98 00:23 arctic 453( 301) -32 53 -1.9 -2.3 -2.3 -2.5 -2.1 CU_VR 1.83 Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
