Ran the snow program starting at 16:00. Snow stopped shortly after sundown with 2-4 inches accumulated on the roof of the dome, and ice on the arrestors. A check done at 23:00 of the roof revealed the snow had crusted over: so the snow program was stopped, as it could no longer remove snow. Between 2 and 4 inches of crusty snow remain on the roof. The scope was pointed south, and no observing was done. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 29 26 22 228 (SW) cloudy snow 17:00 29 26 15 241 (WSW) cloudy lt snow 18:00 30 28 16 273 (W) cloudy fog 19:00 30 28 9 291 (WNW) cloudy fog 20:00 30 30 14 294 (WNW) cloudy fog 21:00 31 30 17 328 (NNW) cloudy fog 22:00 32 31 14 329 (NNW) cloudy fog 23:00 32 30 19 338 (NNW) cloudy fog 00:00 32 31 7 356 (N) cloudy fog 01:00 32 30 15 339 (NNW) cloudy fog 02:00 33 29 13 300 (WNW) cloudy fog 03:00 33 28 14 328 (NNW) cloudy fog 04:00 32 28 15 331 (NNW) cloudy humid Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
