During checkout we had the following issues: - NICFPS needed an init (all zeros) - ARCTIC had dropped a quad. Bill was in and able to fix to the issue. - Jack was testing his internet this afternoon before I started and gcam needed an init. - ARCSAT camera wasn't connecting (I tried power cycling twice, restarting the computer). Bill thought something might be wrong with Flarecam and so mounted Survey Cam. Turns out it wasn't the camera (as Flarecam also wouldn't connect) but the USB hubs or communications. Tracey and Bill managed to fix the USB connection (for now). Thank you for staying late, guys! Reboot needed at 23:00 and 6:00 after the computer froze but no further connection issues. Random other issues throughout the night: - ARCSAT icon does not appear on IR cloud cam, I sent a PR - Tspec continues to show pattern noise when it's upside down but not all the time. I added the info to the Tspec PR 1309. ArielUmbriel.0103.fits - AGILE is reading the wrong image types into the fits headers, I sent a PR. The sky was clear all night with some bad seeing during A half when the wind shifted around was moderate the rest of the night. Keaton Bell completed his third night of training tonight and will get to flex his observing muscles tomorrow! ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:39 tcamera 550( 724) 36 58 0.8 3.7 4.1 3.7 1.7 Ks 1.44 19:10 tcamera 492( 548) 58 63 0.8 1.2 2.1 1.3 1.1 Ks 1.44 20:16 tcamera 506( 542) -59 56 0.9 0.7 1.6 0.7 0.8 Ks 2.15 00:16 ecamera 331( -765) -8 61 2.3 1.1 1.9 1.7 2.3 Clear 1.68 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 37 21 11 227 (SW) 433 clear none 17:00 37 24 12 221 (SW) 459 clear none 18:00 34 21 10 260 (W) 316 clear none 19:00 34 20 11 264 (W) 243 clear none 20:00 34 18 14 318 (NW) 163 clear none 21:00 34 17 20 327 (NNW) 123 clear none 22:00 34 17 4 293 (WNW) 101 clear none 23:00 35 18 13 338 (NNW) 80 clear none 00:00 36 17 21 309 (NW) 301 clear none 01:00 37 14 20 303 (WNW) 83 clear none 02:00 35 9 10 332 (NNW) 67 clear none 03:00 40 10 3 16 (NNE) 76 clear none 04:00 43 8 6 316 (NW) 76 clear none 05:00 44 3 5 323 (NW) 85 clear none 06:00 43 -12 7 345 (NNW) 81 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
