I repeat, the dome is NOT ON FIRE!! However, the 3.5m ground floor fire alarm did go off around 1am and emergency services called to confirm if there was a fire. There wasn't. I sent a PR about the fire alarm. However, that does mean I missed out on seeing all the firemen. Ah well. The real emergency was this morning when Russet hit an elk. She's OK!! The elk and car...not so much :( Aside from those emergencies we had a great night! The sky was beautiful and clear with great seeing all night! Ecam didn't give us any issues. I was messing with it during B half and found some interesting behavior when binning. Turns out when you increase the bin value you decrease the amount of the ecam image that's visible. I added some info to the PR trail and some example images can be see in the following ecam images 1 bin: 449 - 452 2 bin: 453 - 456 3 bin: 457 - 461 4 bin: 462 - 464 10 bin: 465 - 468 1 bin: 469 *Technically* there were no problems tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:31 arctic 527( 1185) 82 29 12.4 14.5 14.3 14.0 12.9 JC-B 2.33 19:13 arctic 439( 1034) 98 51 12.4 13.6 13.7 13.1 12.6 JC-B 1.28 00:32 ecamera 436( -122) 65 66 12.4 12.7 13.2 12.6 12.5 Clear 0.85 02:10 ecamera 350( -225) 45 32 11.4 11.7 12.3 11.6 11.5 ND4 1.06 03:22 ecamera 357( -263) 26 41 11.0 11.0 11.6 10.8 10.8 ND3 0.85 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 61 41 24 219 (SW) clear none 17:00 61 39 17 203 (SSW) clear none 18:00 59 39 16 202 (SSW) clear none 19:00 55 40 15 218 (SW) clear none 20:00 54 40 15 206 (SSW) clear none 21:00 54 40 17 197 (SSW) clear none 22:00 56 38 13 190 (S) clear none 23:00 56 38 16 204 (SSW) clear none 00:00 57 38 17 201 (SSW) clear none 01:00 56 37 14 207 (SSW) clear none 02:00 54 37 14 203 (SSW) clear none 03:00 53 38 11 202 (SSW) clear none 04:00 52 42 14 216 (SW) clear none 05:00 51 42 7 227 (SW) clear none 06:00 51 41 13 216 (SW) clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
