Skies were partly cloudy to clear, with ok seeing. Intense storms formed to our west, and by midnight were threatening the site. Rain hit at 00:20. The rain persisted until about 02:00. After that we tried to open around 03:00 as it looked to have passed, but upon opening the shutters, it was found that there was still precip coming down, so we closed immediately. Clouds, high humidity and another rain system kept us closed the rest of the night. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:37 dcamera 625( 1137) 202 59 14.0 15.8 15.5 15.6 14.4 - 1.30 20:41 dcamera 477( 932) 246 43 13.6 14.3 14.6 14.1 13.7 - 1.39 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 61 47 14 225 (SW) 185 ptly cldy none 17:00 60 47 10 236 (SW) 183 ptly cldy none 18:00 59 48 8 246 (WSW) 156 ptly cldy none 19:00 58 47 11 242 (WSW) 98 ptly cldy none 20:00 57 48 13 209 (SSW) 89 ptly cldy none 21:00 57 48 18 226 (SW) 105 ptly cldy none 22:00 56 48 14 197 (SSW) 74 ptly cldy none 23:00 55 49 13 218 (SW) 87 ptly cldy none 00:00 55 49 12 212 (SSW) 108 cloudy rain 01:00 53 51 14 214 (SW) cloudy lt rain 02:00 48 46 11 1 (N) cloudy humid 03:00 53 49 8 227 (SW) mstly cldy humid 04:00 53 49 8 205 (SSW) mstly cldy humid 05:00 53 48 7 253 (WSW) ptly cldy none 06:00 53 47 9 273 (W) ptly cldy humid Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
