I was apparently too brain dead yesterday after all the activity that I forgot to mention Russet and I worked on the Q4 schedule for all night last night while we were closed up. We were also weathered out tonight (mixture of rain, fog, rain, humidity, and clouds all over) and ran multiple in dome tests. A full email was send out but the TLDR version is below. - Reset hub and tcc - Reset alt and az motion controllers We had an alt fiducial error during the first test slew that fixed itself - Reset Na2 rotator (was off by +0.25) - Reset Agile rotator. It seemed to have its zero point at the -90 position so I reset it so 0 was up. It threw a motion error at -68 during a test slew but after that was fine. - Mounted tspec and changed rotation speeds (1.5, 3.5, and 4.5 deg/sec) with no rotator issues. - Had a collimation failure when switching between instruments (agile to arctic) and we had some fun playing with that for a few hours. Russet solved the issue and we attempted to break it again and found that the D actuator might have a smaller acceptable step range than initially thought (??). - With that problem solved, we ran a few more test slews and rotations and called it a night. The humidity was not predicted to improve and more rain was coming from the west so I went to bed early. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 65 53 14 221 (SW) 230 mstly cldy humid 17:00 64 51 9 209 (SSW) 238 mstly cldy humid 18:00 62 52 11 222 (SW) 303 mstly cldy humid 19:00 57 54 6 155 (SSE) mstly cldy rain 20:00 56 52 17 175 (S) mstly cldy humid 21:00 57 51 13 181 (S) mstly cldy humid 22:00 56 53 14 179 (S) mstly cldy rain 23:00 52 51 8 205 (SSW) mstly cldy rain 00:00 52 50 6 144 (SE) mstly cldy humid 01:00 54 50 13 184 (S) mstly cldy humid 02:00 54 50 15 205 (SSW) mstly cldy humid 03:00 53 50 10 210 (SSW) mstly clr humid Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
