Rotator was working before properly, and it had just started to move the telescope in Alt/Az when the stop button error occurred. Looks like a dome collision. I cleared it and also reset the big switch on the intermediate level (it didn't seem one light came back after I moved the telescope). Next slew same issue. I then reset the drive controller for the az axis. This cleared the issue. We were delayed at the start of the night by local thunderstorms (they made lots of noise but no rain, but they looked pretty dark and threatening). We finally were able to open around 21:50. The clouds came back around 22:50 and basically stopped observations, although we stayed open until we needed to close at 23:20 when there again was the threat of precipitation. We never re-opened and finally gave up at 04:20 due to clouds. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 22:02 ecamera 287( -106) 215 79 14.6 16.3 16.6 16.1 15.1 clear 1.16 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 69 49 12 208 (SSW) 195 mstly cldy none 17:00 66 48 2 192 (SSW) 187 mstly cldy none 18:00 63 50 8 137 (SE) 221 cloudy none 19:00 62 49 10 127 (SE) 183 cloudy none 20:00 61 44 15 121 (ESE) 206 mstly cldy none 21:00 60 44 21 127 (SE) 198 ptly cldy none 22:00 59 45 22 133 (SE) 201 ptly cldy none 23:00 58 49 19 142 (SE) 258 cloudy none 00:00 58 51 16 136 (SE) 256 cloudy none 01:00 58 49 15 141 (SE) 419 cloudy none 02:00 59 47 11 135 (SE) 239 cloudy none 03:00 58 47 4 182 (S) 238 cloudy none 04:00 58 48 11 131 (SE) 281 cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
