Seeing was decent. DIS had problems with biases. Kept restarting until it went away, which coincided with a drop of temperature outside? Not sure if the two are connected. Telescope had one blip as it crossed the meridian during JH06's shift at 23:00 image showed double stars in the alt direction. It did not happen again. This was different from the earlier problem, as the motors did not show a current spike and wind was not in the direction we were facing. We will see if it happens again. We were open all night. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:17 arctic 296( 1412) -19 64 21.3 24.8 24.4 24.4 22.6 SDSS_r 0.87 21:29 arctic 203( 1255) 21 40 22.3 23.1 22.9 22.8 22.0 SDSS_r 1.14 22:46 arctic 368( 1364) -4 43 22.0 22.0 22.4 21.6 21.7 SDSS_g 1.21 00:17 arctic 428( 1369) -35 51 20.8 20.9 21.5 20.6 20.6 SDSS_g 1.04 01:21 dcamera 403( 1119) -72 79 20.5 20.3 20.9 19.9 20.2 - 1.18 05:49 APOLLO 375( 1809) 98 29 20.5 17.2 17.8 16.8 18.6 530 1.70 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 79 36 10 270 (W) 393 clear none 17:00 78 37 12 237 (WSW) 402 clear none 18:00 76 35 10 261 (W) 397 clear none 19:00 74 33 6 285 (WNW) 416 clear none 20:00 71 33 5 260 (W) 465 clear none 21:00 72 32 1 196 (SSW) 469 clear none 22:00 72 33 2 198 (SSW) 541 clear none 23:00 71 33 5 210 (SSW) 484 clear none 00:00 69 37 6 226 (SW) 426 clear none 01:00 69 40 6 280 (W) 378 clear none 02:00 68 40 6 280 (W) 366 clear none 03:00 69 40 2 243 (WSW) 378 clear none 04:00 67 40 5 119 (ESE) 433 clear none 05:00 61 43 12 79 (E) 806 clear none 06:00 69 39 2 294 (WNW) 386 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
