The rain dissipated, and we had a surprisingly long stretch of clear skies. Seeing was so-so. Telescope gave us some problems, possibly wind related, but we were not able to reach an absolute conclusion. Around 02:00 a fast-moving system of rain appeared on the radar, headed for us. We closed for a little over an hour as a precaution. The rain did not make it to us, and we opened again at 03:18. We stayed open until dawn after that. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- uw10 D T/H 21:54 22:18 Scope had trouble tracking in alt ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:27 dcamera 592( 1256) -95 52 15.7 18.9 18.9 18.3 16.2 - 1.51 22:15 dcamera 564( 1063) -55 55 15.1 15.4 16.0 15.1 15.2 - 1.23 01:25 tcamera 524( 1214) -25 62 14.8 14.7 15.2 14.7 14.8 Ks 1.39 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 71 53 20 213 (SSW) 381 ptly cldy none 17:00 69 51 18 186 (S) 402 ptly cldy none 18:00 66 50 10 215 (SW) 449 ptly cldy none 19:00 65 55 12 210 (SSW) 481 ptly cldy none 20:00 61 55 10 189 (S) 433 ptly cldy none 21:00 60 54 12 192 (SSW) 421 ptly cldy none 22:00 59 51 13 193 (SSW) 231 mstly clr none 23:00 59 51 4 192 (SSW) 281 mstly clr none 00:00 59 49 13 214 (SW) 147 mstly clr none 01:00 59 48 8 212 (SSW) 116 mstly clr none 02:00 59 49 7 232 (SW) 108 mstly cldy none 03:00 59 48 12 214 (SW) 107 mstly clr none 04:00 60 49 10 189 (S) 194 mstly clr none 05:00 59 50 15 198 (SSW) 153 mstly clr none 06:00 58 50 14 196 (SSW) 155 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
