We had clouds over us and radar nearby for the first few hours and I stayed closed, but it never actually rained on us. Clouds came and went but we were mostly clear after midnight with moderate seeing the whole night. We had some interesting login issues with arcsat (will send an email). When talking flats with ARCTIC filter 3500, there appeared to be a weird sort of gradient, almost like there was a shadow on the filter. In imaging with 3250 and 4170 no issues were need. I took the filter wheel out and couldn't see anything wrong with the filter. I tried rotating the filter and the shadow moved but not angularly. I suspected a moth but I didn't see one when I dismounted ARCTIC to swap for DIS. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:49 arctic 248( 1161) 137 69 17.0 18.5 18.5 18.3 17.3 3500 1.21 00:21 dcamera 356( 945) 15 53 16.4 16.7 17.1 16.5 16.4 -- 1.10 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 69 51 7 189 (S) 729 mstly cldy none 17:00 70 49 4 249 (WSW) 637 mstly cldy none 18:00 69 48 10 203 (SSW) 711 mstly cldy none 19:00 66 47 8 230 (SW) 622 mstly cldy none 20:00 64 46 2 101 (E) 576 mstly cldy none 21:00 65 45 2 198 (SSW) 708 ptly cldy none 22:00 62 46 7 201 (SSW) 766 mstly clr none 23:00 63 46 8 183 (S) 706 mstly clr none 00:00 63 46 5 185 (S) 711 ptly cldy none 01:00 61 43 16 127 (SE) 1476 mstly clr none 02:00 60 42 6 102 (ESE) 1997 mstly clr none 03:00 60 41 7 110 (ESE) 1652 clear none 04:00 61 43 2 168 (SSE) 1406 mstly clr none 05:00 63 45 2 193 (SSW) 915 mstly clr none 06:00 61 45 3 206 (SSW) 796 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
