We opened for a few hours, and did a pointing model that served both for pointing and trying to track down the slippage problem. It was found that tracking on sky to targets in the NW produced the slipping and scalopped-shaped signal on the alt-current on the strip charts. It also produced some motion errors. Clouds and rain moved in around midnight, so we closed and worked on pointing model, which was implemented. Also checked scripts ofr obs3 vs obs1, email was sent detailing what we need. We did not open after midnight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 66 40 12 62 (ENE) 163 mstly cldy lt rain 17:00 72 35 1 222 (SW) 234 mstly cldy none 18:00 71 37 1 235 (SW) 174 ptly cldy none 19:00 69 39 12 142 (SE) 347 ptly cldy none 20:00 67 42 9 82 (E) 398 ptly cldy none 21:00 65 39 13 63 (ENE) 237 ptly cldy none 22:00 64 38 20 64 (ENE) 175 ptly cldy none 23:00 62 42 24 75 (ENE) 194 mstly cldy none 00:00 58 45 26 75 (ENE) 362 mstly cldy none 01:00 57 45 28 73 (ENE) 238 cloudy none 02:00 58 43 29 73 (ENE) 156 cloudy lt rain 03:00 59 42 20 66 (ENE) 146 cloudy none 04:00 62 40 12 66 (ENE) 230 cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
