It was an active checkout as power outtages had affected the equipement. Mirror covers needed a reset, as well as the enclosure motors. Arcsat ics needed a reboot, and the scope had run away. The nicfps terminal server was all upset as well. Could not get into TS due to lack of PW, so Tracy will look at it tomorrow. A suckerhole opened around 21:00 and we decided to go for it due ot the onsite observers. Suckerhole closed at 21:35, with possible rain in the clouds. Clouds and rain blew out around 23:00, and we opened again. The skies were clear, seeing was so-so, and we stayed open until dawn. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:03 dcamera 477( 952) 103 52 11.6 13.1 13.6 12.4 11.6 - 1.77 23:09 dcamera 489( 856) 94 79 10.8 11.2 11.8 11.2 11.0 - 1.45 01:25 dcamera 562( 853) -24 65 10.0 9.7 10.2 9.6 9.9 - 1.21 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 63 28 12 186 (S) 493 cloudy rain 17:00 48 42 21 164 (SSE) 1226 cloudy rain 18:00 44 40 8 183 (S) 580 cloudy lt rain 19:00 44 41 13 43 (NE) 230 ptly cldy lt rain 20:00 48 37 12 65 (ENE) 248 ptly cldy none 21:00 53 31 1 176 (S) 342 mstly clr none 22:00 51 33 3 130 (SE) 287 mstly cldy none 23:00 52 32 7 179 (S) 470 clear none 00:00 49 34 11 92 (E) 343 clear none 01:00 50 34 9 90 (E) 420 clear none 02:00 52 31 7 146 (SE) 496 clear none 03:00 48 34 8 103 (ESE) 334 clear none 04:00 49 34 3 177 (S) 374 clear none 05:00 48 35 11 159 (SSE) 416 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
