Had to replace the LN2 tanks for TSpec and NICFPS, which made three this weekend after the Echelle tank yesterday. Dust was down to 'borderline safe' of ~5000 by sunset, and with low humidity and the decreasing trend we decided to open. Pollen levels didn't seem high enough to close, but we took precautions with keeping the louvers closed/pressurisation fan on/intex fan off/stairwell closed. Closed at 3:30 because we were pointing directly into the wind, reopened at 4:20. The night was otherwise uneventful. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:23 tcamera 671( 1507) 241 57 12.4 14.3 14.8 14.2 13.0 Ks 1.15 23:58 ecamera 544( 0) 24 74 9.6 10.0 10.8 10.0 9.8 Clear 0.96 Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 54 29 26 237 (WSW) 9733 clear dust 17:00 60 27 21 229 (SW) 15305 clear dust 18:00 61 18 36 266 (W) 27026 clear dust 19:00 58 15 25 256 (WSW) 7399 clear dust 20:00 55 12 19 264 (W) 5395 clear none 21:00 53 10 18 263 (W) 3566 clear none 22:00 53 11 18 263 (W) 2006 clear none 23:00 52 9 17 268 (W) 1344 clear none 00:00 51 9 15 256 (WSW) 849 clear none 01:00 50 8 15 261 (W) 486 clear none 02:00 48 10 18 261 (W) 442 clear none 03:00 47 15 18 262 (W) 487 clear none 04:00 48 17 20 257 (WSW) 639 clear none 05:00 46 19 19 248 (WSW) 485 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
