WY01 requested slits 0.9, 1.2, 1.5 but 1.2 was not loaded in the slit wheel and I didn't catch my error until switch over. In the panic of trying to change the slit while also changing gratings settings, I forgot to check the wavelength centers. We didn't find out until after several exposures that the turret did not home properly. By the time everything was corrected, I'd lost our user an hour on sky. The sky was clear at sunset but clouds started rolling in around 10pm and we had high clouds for most of the night. Seeing was good to moderate. There was a lot of moth material on the drives but no issues with tracking. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- WY01 D I/H 01:16 02:16 slit not installed, turret motion error ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 00:21 ecamera 477( -163) 116 58 8.8 8.0 8.7 7.9 8.2 clear 1.02 19:55 dcamera 487( 970) 48 79 12.1 13.5 13.3 13.3 12.0 -- 1.20 21:58 dcamera 539( 960) -73 70 12.9 12.2 12.6 12.1 12.6 -- 0.97 00:41 dcamera 509( 913) 118 45 11.4 11.6 12.2 11.7 11.5 -- 1.36 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 61 18 17 233 (SW) 553 clear none 17:00 62 18 20 217 (SW) 554 clear none 18:00 59 17 21 214 (SW) 504 clear none 19:00 58 18 20 218 (SW) 556 clear none 20:00 54 17 15 224 (SW) 508 clear none 21:00 53 17 8 192 (SSW) 645 mstly clr none 22:00 53 18 9 193 (SSW) 605 ptly cldy none 23:00 55 18 14 186 (S) 725 mstly cldy none 00:00 55 19 15 227 (SW) 728 mstly cldy none 01:00 54 19 11 262 (W) 780 mstly clr none 02:00 51 18 7 224 (SW) 628 mstly clr none 03:00 52 18 6 259 (W) 663 mstly clr none 04:00 52 16 6 257 (WSW) 531 mstly clr none 05:00 52 15 6 260 (W) 618 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
