The rain, thunder, crazy lightning, and hail all stopped around 6pm, though there were some clouds that stuck around for awhile. I delayed opening by 40 min waiting for the potential danger to clear. We had good to excellent seeing all night, though I seem to not have recorded the first focus with ARCTIC, which was 0.98". JH01 was taking echelle calibrations at dawn and they aren't expected to end until after 7:30 so I did not take a dawn IOL. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:45 ecamera 498( -199) 6 68 6.4 7.0 7.2 6.8 6.6 clear 1.30 00:10 ecamera 546( -163) 131 74 6.6 6.8 7.3 6.6 6.6 clear 0.83 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 41 32 2 0 (N) cloudy rain 17:00 43 32 9 344 (NNW) cloudy rain 18:00 47 32 6 82 (E) 519 cloudy rain 19:00 47 31 7 5 (N) 530 ptly cldy none 20:00 46 31 3 353 (N) 550 mstly clr none 21:00 46 30 6 358 (N) 574 mstly clr none 22:00 45 30 3 325 (NW) 622 mstly clr none 23:00 44 30 7 344 (NNW) 629 mstly clr none 00:00 46 30 5 282 (WNW) 625 mstly clr none 01:00 45 31 6 231 (SW) 526 mstly clr none 02:00 46 31 9 326 (NW) 564 clear none 03:00 44 31 7 344 (NNW) 489 clear none 04:00 45 31 7 351 (N) 547 clear none 05:00 44 30 6 9 (N) 595 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
