Although the airtemp remained above freezing and I ran the roof heaters, I was pretty sure the snow on the dome was at best reduced to slush which I really didn't want on the telescope. And so, even though the sky cleared and humidity dropped (a little) during second half, I didn't think it was safe to open the dome. Dome parked facing south for maximum sunshine. Roof heaters are still on. NICFPS is mounted in prepartion for tomorrow. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 30 31 20 300 (WNW) cloudy snow 17:00 31 31 19 303 (WNW) cloudy snow 18:00 32 32 21 305 (NW) cloudy snow 19:00 33 32 7 353 (N) cloudy lt snow 20:00 33 32 18 335 (NNW) cloudy lt snow 21:00 33 32 17 23 (NNE) cloudy fog 22:00 33 32 14 358 (N) mstly clr fog 23:00 33 32 29 17 (NNE) ptly cldy fog 00:00 34 32 27 24 (NNE) ptly cldy humid 01:00 37 31 27 18 (NNE) mstly clr none 02:00 37 31 17 30 (NNE) clear none 03:00 37 30 24 12 (NNE) clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
