What a boon we've had with this Worm Moon! The long winter is behind us and we can now enjoy the solar winds of change. It didn't get quite as windy as they predicted, barely 32mph! We were able to open without issue but the clouds hung around nearly all of A half and annoyed us. Seeing wasn't the greatest but hey, we had half a night of clear skies and weren't on generator power so I call that a good night! Sadly, since it was IR all night, we observed straight until the crack of dawn. I guess I'll have to wait until next week to celebrate the equinox by having 12 hours sleep. No problems tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:35 tcamera 620( 942) 152 70 3.1 4.5 4.9 3.9 3.3 Ks 1.35 23:26 tcamera 607( 725) 186 79 0.5 0.5 1.2 0.3 0.6 Ks 1.33 00:22 tcamera 659( 793) 214 48 1.2 0.6 1.2 0.7 1.2 Ks 1.10 04:25 tcamera 696( 775) 175 56 -0.8 -0.5 0.1 -0.6 -0.7 Ks 1.74 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 42 10 22 259 (W) 629 mstly clr none 17:00 44 15 26 266 (W) 622 mstly clr none 18:00 42 11 16 256 (WSW) 779 mstly clr none 19:00 39 9 23 263 (W) 587 ptly cldy none 20:00 37 5 25 244 (WSW) 517 mstly cldy none 21:00 36 5 18 245 (WSW) 417 mstly cldy none 22:00 35 7 17 254 (WSW) 324 ptly cldy none 23:00 34 8 9 308 (NW) 281 ptly cldy none 00:00 34 9 5 263 (W) 264 mstly clr none 01:00 33 9 3 337 (NNW) 288 clear none 02:00 34 11 12 356 (N) 403 clear none 03:00 32 12 6 340 (NNW) 311 clear none 04:00 32 13 6 7 (N) 226 clear none 05:00 31 15 9 358 (N) 204 clear none 06:00 31 17 19 3 (N) 194 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
