We continue to be on generator power, unable to open. Maybe the skies took pity on us and decided to not flash a brilliant set of stars. Clouds were ever present, pinging the radar and toying with the humidity, and would have kept us closed regardless of the power issue. No problems tonight. ----- So ends my epic training and obs spec'ing shift. I will not be here to celebrate St. Patrick's day with you all, but I'll leave you with my rendition of this Celtic classic: The Parting Glass Of all the coffee that e'er I had I drank it in good company And of all the tales that e'er I've spun Alas it was to humor thee And all I've taught with tired wit To memory now I can't recall So I bid to you the CU class Goodnight and joy be to you all Cheers to you the parting class And drink to sky whate'er befalls It'll gently rise and softly fall Good night and joy with with you all Of all the trainees that ne'er I had They are sorry for my going away And all the users I helped make glad They would wish me one more night to stay But since it fell unto my lot That I should gaze and you should not I'll gently close and I'll softly call Good night and joy be to you all So fill with me the parting glass And drink a health whate'er befalls I'll gently rise and softly call Good night and joy be to you all A star may rise and not be sunk A cloud may build and not be rain The sky may taunt a ginger girl But she can't wait to be back again But since I have so ordered been That the shift must end and I cannot stall Come fill with me the parting glass Good night and joy be to you all I'll throw to you a parting glance Good night and joy be to you all! ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 31 22 6 318 (NW) 848 cloudy none 17:00 29 18 13 82 (E) 559 cloudy none 18:00 26 17 14 66 (ENE) 537 cloudy none 19:00 24 15 15 87 (E) 462 mstly cldy none 20:00 23 15 11 78 (ENE) 440 cloudy humid 21:00 24 16 10 91 (E) 459 cloudy none 22:00 26 18 13 146 (SE) 613 cloudy none 23:00 26 18 13 147 (SSE) cloudy none 00:00 26 18 10 162 (SSE) cloudy none 01:00 26 18 9 183 (S) mstly cldy humid 02:00 25 18 7 173 (S) mstly cldy none 03:00 24 17 7 169 (S) mstly cldy humid 04:00 25 17 7 125 (SE) mstly cldy humid 05:00 25 16 3 125 (SE) 611 cloudy none 06:00 25 16 7 91 (E) 600 cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
