Switching to generator power trigger a dome drive failure and I needed to restart the drives. We are on generator power but everything is still good! The winds reached 70mph today but died down to normal levels before midnight. However, the humidity stayed high and there's ice all over the dome roof. I parked the dome south in hopes that the clear day we are promised tomorrow will warm things up. The staycation trainees of CU had another virtual training session, this time done entirely through the message window (wow, that's more difficult) and they did a great job! They were able to take cals with no issues but were not able to do any test slews. Cuz wind. But the Bomb Cyclone has passed and all is safe. The sky actually cleared up towards the end of the night and was beautiful! I saw a meteor! Sadly, there’s just too much ice on the roof to risk opening. ------- OMG, you guys it's Pi day! One of the most delicious days of the year! So whether it be sweet or savory, doughy or flaky, small or large, don't forget your pie today! Here's a little song that should help you remember...
