That rain stalled, and did not arrive. A suckerhole seemed to open and we tried to take advantage of it, but it was not clear enough to yeild usable data. We closed again at 22:11, as rain was once again encroaching on us. Rain on the radar persisted all around us, but did not fall locally. Observers gave up by 03:00, since the transit had been missed. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:06 arctic 914( 808) 181 57 -0.4 0.8 2.4 1.0 0.1 SDSS_r 1.49 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 38 20 22 230 (SW) 419 mstly cldy none 17:00 36 17 17 239 (WSW) 463 mstly cldy none 18:00 34 12 17 260 (W) 483 mstly cldy none 19:00 32 19 14 254 (WSW) 757 mstly cldy none 20:00 31 19 16 233 (SW) 992 mstly cldy none 21:00 32 19 11 212 (SSW) 1255 mstly cldy none 22:00 32 16 15 212 (SSW) 894 cloudy none 23:00 32 14 20 221 (SW) 801 cloudy none 00:00 33 13 24 231 (SW) 582 cloudy none 01:00 33 13 21 213 (SSW) 659 cloudy none 02:00 32 13 20 241 (WSW) 770 cloudy none 03:00 31 13 14 239 (WSW) 685 cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
